Opening of the Portals - Pleiades Over the Pyramid

May 20, New Moon and Eclipse is the day when the Sun will be directly over El Castillo in Chichen Itza casting no shadow at noon.

On this day of power, the Pleiades known to the Maya as The Rattlesnake's Rattle, will be directly overhead, completing the body of the Snake whose head is at the botton of the pyramid.

The glyph for 'to enter' is represented by the rattle of the rattlesnake, thus on that day when the rattle, ie Pleiades, are over the pyramid, we can enter into another dimension via the portals opened by the eclipse.

The Pleiades have been significant to many cultures through time. Many Native American cultures have myths relating the stories of their ancestors, called Starseeds, who originally came from the Pleiades.

Ancient cultures aligned monuments and temples with the Pleiades, including structures such as the Great Pyramid at Giza, the Parthenon and the site of Teotihuacan in Mexico.

In India the Pleiades are called the "Seven Mothers."

For the ancient Maya, the night sky represented the Underworld made visible at night because everything turned upside down. During the day, it was underground and we had access to it through portals such as mirrors, cenotes and pools of water. Thus in the day, the Underworld was a watery world.

The hieroglyph for 'conjure' - is a hand holding a fish which was seen as reaching into the watery world and bringing something into the daylight world - manifesting.

The Sabian symbol for the New Moon, Solar Eclipse is:  "A glass-bottomed boat reveals undersea wonders; the revelation of unconscious energies and submerged psychic structures" repeating this theme of the possibility for traveling through or at least viewing other dimensions where we can find answers to the issues we are now facing.

Ancient Mayan shamans called hmen 'doers' could access portals at any time. In fact, they could create them. During particularly powerful times like this upcoming New Moon Eclipse conjunct the Pleiades, anyone with intention, respect, humility, love and longing can have access to these other dimensions.

You don't have to be in Chichen Itza. You don't have to be on top of a mountain, next to the sea or anywhere in particular. Just be where you are. Be fully present to the moment. By paying attention, you will see the cracks in the world.

During this time we can visualize reaching into the watery world through the portal of the eclipse, for blessing, inspiration and renewal and rebirth.
